If you want to be successful in Internet Marketing you need appropriate tools. But which tools do what?

More and more affiliate marketing tools are coming out every month while the it has become increasingly difficult to judge the vendors´ claims if their products stand the test of reality and which products are really worth the money. In recent times I noticed the following trends:

• Products that have become quite or very expensive. Some of them also require that you pay a monthly membership fee.

• In view of the cut-throat competition in the PPC market more tools incorporate tracking features which is important in order to see which keywords convert and which ones should be better eliminated from your campaigns.

• It has become easier to be keyword-savvy. Not only because of the keyword tools that are available (some of them won´t cost you a cent !), but also because it is now easier to know the keywords which the “Super Affiliates” use themselves without paying to test them in expensive Google campaigns. This is an enormous progress which was not possible before.

• Products that have become quite or very expensive. Some of them also require that you pay a monthly membership fee.

	The Problem How to find the best keywords and affiliate programs without spending a fortune on Adwords and PPC (pay-per-click)-advertising on a tedious and costly trial-and- error campaigns ? In this review 3 professional keyword and PPC tools are discussed and put into perspective. By now it should be clear to the last remaining online desperado that the old way of doing online business is definitely over. In the old days of Internet business you -went to inventory.com and entered any niche term that you could possibly imagine -checked out the profit potential of that niche -got a product online -set up an Adwords Campaign with Google -collected your checks on autopilot the next morning Unfortunately these days are gone forever. . It´s getting crowded in your quiet niche with many people hanging out there trying to make their living or get rich. And thousands try without success to generate traffic on their websites and give up before their results really take off. More than ever the key to success in internet marketing is in keywords, the words by which search engines find sites. There are keywords for which millions of websites compete and keywords that few people care about. It is not a question of luck or time consuming trial and error; it is a question of using the right technology and strategy. You can find the necessary information with tools. Yahoo says that bids are made for only a fraction of the approximately 500 million different search phrases that appear in the Yahoo network. This is a giant market !. I definitely also includes the keywords for your website and your products. They can be identified with keyword tools. Let´s look at 2 programs by Brad Callen and also AdSpy Pro here. These programs are – thanks to their technology- capable of delivering the essential and hotly desired information that will guarantee a growing stream of traffic to your website. . The products #1 and #3 are able to find out what Google won't release: exact figures how often of keyword is searched for. This knowledge is as valuable as a gold mine in Alaska. .

	Keyword Elite is an awesome tool because even a greenhorn webmaster can get a top listing in Google / Yahoo / MSN. More than that it is very practical when working with Google Adwords because it will tell you how much you have to pay to get to the top and earn significant money. There are 5 different project types you can run: 1. Analyze Pay Per Click Listings Within this project you can retrieve data from Google, Yahoo, Miva, Enhance. You can also include data from Keyword Discovery or Wordtracker if you are subscribed to these services and if the Yahoo (formerly Overture) results do not satisfy your requirements. When the research is done you will get information on competition results (R), search volume (S), KEI, R/S ratio, number of PPC campaigns in the Google, Yahoo, Miva, Enhance networks with their pertinent costs per click. You will also be able to diagnose your competing URLs if you choose to. 2. Create keyword Lists with up to 10000 keywords This is pretty much self-explanatory but I recommend to limit your search to the number of keywords that you can handle and to those that follow your common sense. You are also well advised to use the editing tab to clear the keywords from anything you don't want. 3. Select A Keyword List Eliminate the money wasting keywords for your niche. This feature claims to give you acces to over 40.000 ready-made lists on all kinds of subjects. I doubt that this does the trick for niches that get tighter every day but I also have to admit that I have not used this feature often enough 4. Analyze Keyword Competition Keyword Elite will show you which websites (and in particular how many) use which keywords. This is particularly useful for your analysis because you get an idea how stiff the competition is in a given niche. Take the top 10 sites for the top 20 keyword (s) phrases and –alas- it won´t take long before you know the search volumes, your competing websites and their page ranks and where the keyword is positioned ( H1 tags, title tags, first 20 words etc). A number of other criteria you may want to consider such as Alexa rank and number of backlinks is also accessible. 5. Spy on Adwords Competition With this feature you will find out which keywords are used by your competitors within a certain period of time. You will have to enter your competitors´ websites (no import function unfortunately !) and Keyword Elite will check if your competitors are advertising on Google and tell you the ad details. On the whole I like Project 4 to quicky evaluate a niche, set up a 1 page review or directly promote an affiliate program I am convinced of, advertise on Google and see how it´s climbing in the Google charts. I do this before spending any money and time on fancy artwork or design. On the pro side: The Four Projects are rather isolated projects. A continuous workflow e.g. between Project 1 and 4 and 2 respectively would be very useful for PPC advertisers in order to reduce the adwords testing phase as much as possible. As for Project 5 my experience also with other programs (such as Adspy Pro and Undercover Profits) is that the assumption “The longer the ad is published the more successful it must be” does not reflect Adwords reality sufficiently. Sure the time an ad is alive will be closely monitored by professional advertising agencies and other professionals but but I doubt that the normal user will control his ads tightly and regularly. Maybe he will do so after a month or so when he is taken by an unpleasant surprise by Google´s Adwords Invoice. And these guys I can tell you won´t show any "mercy".

This is particularly important as you can now either mimic their successful marketing strategies or learn from and improve on them. But you can master this because the training is first class and Brad Callen often comes up with extra case studies. Be prepared to read this a number of time before you can fully take advantage of it. .

Affiliate Elite puts your Adwords campaign on a solid basis by identifying the right affiliate programs with their keywords that can make you a lot of money but also by identifying the Super Affiliates who are already making money.
The program is amazingly fast and it is a masterpiece of programming and is backed up by execellent training and support.
It truly is a great product which is highly recommended. At the moment it works with Clickbank and Paydotcom, but CJ (Commission Junction) is supposed to follow. As I said the training provided is excellent but be prepared to invest some time in the manual and the videos if you want to exploit the full potential of the software, especially when hunting for the Super Affiliates and their marketing strategies.

Adspy Pro is part of the Better´n´ Cheaper Scheme (Covert Conversion Pro) is also part of that series) which gives you a good opportunitiy to do more or less the same as the much more expensive products. This alone together with excellent Ethicash training modules deserves applause. I have to admit I used it a lot when I bought it but somehow I lost my guts a little recently because I do not like so much to look backwards which you do when you give the software the time it needs to show significant results (maybe after a week or two) but then the Internet train has already moved on.

Keyword Elite is the 'Swiss Army Knife" for keyword research because it not only does a damned good job in getting you as many keywords as you want but it also gives you an idea to where your competition is and - for those doing PPC- lets you know how much you will have to pay to get decent rankings in Google Adwords, Yahoo and other PPC networks. And - this is important knowledge before you start a PPC campaign that easily gets out of your control.
